Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Promptize collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Overview

Promptize (“we”, “us”) provides tools to create, store, improve, and share AI prompts. This policy applies to our website, dashboard, APIs, and browser extension.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the service.

  • Account data: name, email, profile details (username, bio, avatar URL), and authentication identifiers from providers such as Google
  • Content you create: prompts, instructions, tips, variables, bookmarks, example materials metadata, and related settings
  • Usage data: pages viewed, feature usage, approximate device/browser information, and diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the service
  • Payment data: processed by our payment provider (for example Stripe); we receive status and subscription metadata, not full card numbers
  • Extension data: site context needed to insert or optimize prompts when you use the extension, subject to permissions you grant

3. How we use information

We use information to operate, improve, and protect Promptize, including to:

  • Provide authentication, libraries, sharing, search, and billing features
  • Generate or improve prompts when you request AI assistance
  • Communicate about product updates, security notices, and support
  • Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. AI processing

When you use features such as idea-to-prompt or improver, the text you submit may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate a response. Do not submit secrets or sensitive personal data you do not want processed by those providers. We use provider APIs as needed to fulfill your request and do not sell your prompts as training data to third parties.

5. Public content

If you mark a prompt as public, its title, text, metadata, author profile information you choose to show, and related materials may be visible to anyone with the link or browsing discovery surfaces. Private prompts are not intentionally exposed publicly.

6. Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Infrastructure and vendors: hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, and payment processors under contractual safeguards
  • AI providers: when you invoke AI features that require external model calls
  • Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights, users, or the service
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where appropriate

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for authentication sessions, preferences, and essential app functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break sign-in or other features.

8. Data retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited records for security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance after deletion requests, for a reasonable period.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can update profile information in settings and request additional help through available support channels. You may also disconnect third-party auth providers where supported.

11. International transfers

We may process data in countries other than where you live. When we do, we take steps designed to provide appropriate protections consistent with applicable law.

12. Children’s privacy

Promptize is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use of Promptize after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.

14. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the channels listed on the Promptize website or within your account when available.
